  • Intro:

A late goal from Burak Yilmaz secured all three points for Galatasaray and top spot on the Turkish Super Lig.

    Script:

Kicking off the post-Cesare Prandelli era, Galatasaray made sure it was a winning start against mid-table Gaziantepspor.

Even if they continuously fluffed their host of chances.

Gaziantepspor remained a threat on the counter attack.

The game was without a goal until the last minute after this free-kick.

The win takes Galatasaray top of the Super Lig.

The home-side left reeling about the referee's decision to award the free-kick in the final minute.

Fenerbahce kept pace with Galatasaray, but they needed a stoppage time penalty to avoid defeat at the hands of Eskisehirspor.

The visitors stunned home fans when they opened the scoring on the 28th minute.

It took until the 70th minute for Fenerbahce to reply through this scrambled effort.

Then with only a few minutes to go Eskisehirspor went ahead thanks to Argentinian striker Rogelio Mori.

It wasn't enough to secure what would've been a famous win, a late penalty, harshly awarded for an alleged handball, allowed Fenerbachce to salvage a point and remain one point behind league leaders Galatasaray.
