    Script:

FC Goa hosted NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League on Monday with all eight teams still in with a chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages.

Romeo Fernandes was first to score, steering the ball just inside the post after 34 minutes for the 100th goal of this inaugural season.

In-form striker Miroslav Slepicka then added to Goa's tally right at the end of the first half, his fourth goal in three games.

A great run from Romeo down the left-hand side set up Slepicka who finished in the far post.

NorthEast's best chance of the match came early in the second half when Koke tried to drill the ball low past Goa 'keeper Jan Seda.

But Goa then put the result beyond doubt with their third goal - Santos took his time, picked his spot and calmly steered the ball into the net.

After starting the season poorly, this 3-0 win was Goa's third in a row.

It's the first time that NorthEast had conceded three goals all season, and although they remain in sixth spot with just one win from their last eight games, they are likely to need maximum points from their remaining two to qualify for the semi-final knock-out stages.

Goa's jump from fourth to second behind Chennaiyin FC, leaves them very well placed to qualify in the top four, although their last two games are away from home.
