Alan Pardew is contending with a 'critical' injury list as his side prepare for the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Tuesday (2nd November)

"Critical I would say in terms of the spine of the team. No Tim (Krul), no Coloccini, no Moussa (Sissoko), no Jack (Colback) who would probably all start if they was fit. But we've been in this position on this winning run before and we've won because the squad has got good strength. I have no fears about going to Burnley. I think they've done terrific just of late, in fact in the last three games they've got a better points total than us. So we respect them, but we don't fear them."

    SOUNDBITE: Alan Pardew

"I think it will be a great result whichever result we get in terms of the players we have available. But I also think we can win. I think we've got the players that can cause Burnley problems. Hopefully we can. They are going well though and in Ings they have a player in form and a player that is impressing at the moment."

    SOUNDBITE: Alan Pardew

"I think the way we play and the way we train, not just us, in the Premier League, is putting more and more players at risk of injury because we're really at the very edge of the physical capabilities of players. On top of that they get taken away on internationals, where we've lost so many players on international duty. So there are a lot of factors, you can't factor it in as one individual thing."
