"It was a very good visit. I did not have the opportunity to visit Pelé since he was admitted to the hospital for the second time. Today I feel very relieved. He looks very good, he is able to eat and he has finished some of the medicine he was prescribed. The prognosis is very good."

"It's true, there is the possibilities Pele will leave hospital soon but the evaluation is being done hour by hour. It's up to the doctors. But the current path is for him to be taken off the machines that are attending to some of his needs and for him to become independent again."

"The option of allowing Pele to leave hospital is being weighed up day by day, depending on his progress. There is no timeframe yet for, let's say, today or tomorrow. But I think that probably by the end of next week he will return home... I am just telling you the doctors' information. I am not a doctor but that's what they told us... Pele has no specific complaints. He's just a little sore in places."
