SOUNDBITE (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager:

"I think that we beat a very strong team that the position that Southampton has in the table is not a coincedence. I think that they deserve (to be where they are) because they are a very strong team. The best defence of the Premier League and also they attack very well. So to beat them by 3-0 is a very good news for us."

SOUNDBITE (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager:

"I repeat today exactly the same words that I said last Sunday when we beat Swansea. We have to play in that moment 26 games more and now we have to play just 25. It's a lot of points. Nobody knows what happens in the future. In football in one week you can change with three bad scores you can change your position. Chelsea is playing very well. We'll see what happens in the future and we must try just to think about what we must do against Sunderland."

SOUNDBITE (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager:

"The start of the second half was better than our start in the first half. But you know if you make mistakes you will be punished for that. And even when it was 11 (men) against 10 (men), we make mistakes and they scored two goals more and that's not good. We knew we have to be good to have a good result today."
