  • Intro:

Reaction after Swansea City and Crystal Palace drew 1-1 in the English Premier League on Saturday (29th November).

Wilfried Bony put Swansea into the lead in the 15th minute and Mile Jedinak equalised from the penalty spot ten minutes later.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Garry Monk, Swansea City manager (Q: Is that two points dropped?)

"We had our chances today, it was always going to be difficult, Palace defended well I thought, you know they put everyone behind the ball, pretty much on their 18-yard line and it's always difficult to break down teams when it's like that. So the two and three opportunities that you get in those situations you have to take and unfortunately we couldn't take them and we couldn't get the second goal."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Garry Monk, Swansea City manager (Q: You've lost leads and dropped points this season, but had a good season, is your glass half full or half empty, it could potentially have been an incredible season?)

"No I look at the 19 points that we've got, still on a great total, we're still 7th. We are still progressing as a team, still improving, we perform well in every game, the performance levels I can't argue with and yes we've made little mistakes, but I focus on the positives, because that's what they deserve to. We've had a good season, we are trying to find our way, trying to push on and you know we have another opportunity on Tuesday to get three points and if we can get them we'll still be in a very healthy position and that's what it's about."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Neil Warnock, Crystal Palace manager (Q: A good turnaround for your team after the first twenty minutes?)

"Well the first twenty minutes is as bad as I've seen us play since I've been at the club. We just couldn't put two passes together, I think I said we couldn't pass water. It was really poor, but after that we re-grouped, it's a hard place here, I saw them batter Arsenal a couple of weeks ago, so I knew how difficult it was going to be."
