SOUNDBITE: (English) Jerome Valcke, Secretary General of FIFA (Q: How damaged do you think FIFA's reputation has been by all that has happened over the past 14 days?)

"The image of FIFA is something that I will agree over the last two weeks, I will not say has reached the bottom but has reached a level which it should not go lower than and we will have to work on and make sure that we explain that things are happening, things have happened but we are still doing a lot of good things and we will rebuild this image day after day. It's easy to destroy the reputation. It takes one second. It takes years to rebuild a reputation but that is what we will do.

About Lord Triesman, no comment. Amazing. Firstly, I don't think that the approach to say "if you do not publish, the European associations will boycott" that I think is a sad comment and sad statement because they are totally different things.
I really hope that it is time now to close these investigations, to close this period. I mean the World Cup 2018 and 2022 were given in December 2010. We are in December (November) 2014. It's four years ago and it's time to move (on) now."
