The Dutch Eredivisie's early Sunday fixture saw leaders PSV Eindhoven make the trip north to mid-table Groningen.

In the first half Luciano Narsingh was denied his fourth league goal this season by the foot of Sergio Padt.

Feyenoord assistant manager and ex-Arsenal left-back Giovanni van Bronckhorst watched on when Luuk de Jong gunned the visitors in front.

That was the 24-year-old's fifth Eredivisie goal this term since signing from Borussia Mönchengladbach for around £5m this summer.

PSV boss Phillip Cocu was delighted but the former Barcelona central midfielder was soon red with anger.

With seven minutes left Michael de Leeuw salvaged a surprise 1-1 draw.

Memphis Depay was prevented from snatching all three points when Martijn van der Laan cleared his effort off the line and this 1-1 draw sees PSV's lead at the top of the table halved to two points. The Light Bulbs suffered a power cut.
