    Urawa Reds missed the chance to win the J-League title on Saturday (22nd November) following their 2-0 loss to Gamba Osaka.

    Script:

    First played second in the J League on Saturday, with leaders Urawa Reds having the chance to clinch the title over Gamba Osaka.

    A win for the hosts, who started the day five points clear of Osaka, would clinch the title with two league fixtures to play.

    In what a fairly uneventful first half, The Reds had the best chance, albeit via an Osaka head in 43rd minute.

    Tomoaki Makino cross well saved by keeper Masaaki Higashiguchi.

    More pressure came from the Reds in the second half. With just eight minutes remaining Higashiguchi made this save to keep Osaka's title hopes alive.

    Then, everything changed. With just two minutes remaining, the fight for the league was back on.

    Osaka went on the break and found their chance through Akihiro Sato.

    The substitute with just his second league goal of the season.

    And the visitors weren't finished just yet - another substitute Shu Kurata then sealed the win for Gamba in the third minute of stoppage time.

    Gamba's victory means they move to 59 points - two behind Urawa Reds, still in the lead, yet the Reds go to fourth placed Tosu next.
