Asia is hosting the Blind Football World Championships for the first time.

Twelve teams are vying for the title in Tokyo.

It is a five-a-side tournament and the goalkeeper is the only player with full vision.

There was some incredible skill on show during Brazil's opening match against Turkey.

Coaches are on hand to guide the players on the pitch and there is a bell inside the football.

Unsurprisingly, fans are asked to remain silent so that the players can hear where the ball is.

Brazil won this encounter 1-0 and will face South American rivals Colombia on Tuesday.

This year's competition is the largest ever event in the history of blind football.
