Roy Hodgson and the England squad visited Celtic Park in Glasgow on Monday evening ahead of the international friendly against fierce rivals Scotland; captain Wayne Rooney says they'll be playing to win.

It may be a friendly, but there'll be no love lost when England take on fierce rivals Scotland on Tuesday night.

Manager Roy Hodgson is expecting a highly competitive encounter at Celtic Park.

"We know we will be given a very tough test up here. We know that Scotland will be very keen to win the game and I'm certainly hoping that we'll have the same degree of hope and expectation from our side."

It'll be the first time in 15 years the two sides have met on Scottish soil.

And 15 months since their last battle at Wembley in which England won 3-2.

Captain Wayne Rooney believes it'll still be a great test at a great venue.

"It will be intense. I've actually spoken to a couple of the younger players just to make sure they're ready for the start of the game because if you're not ready if can take you by surprise."

There are no injury concerns for England.

Hodgson won't reveal who'll be in his starting line-up.

The only certainty, Joe Hart will be replaced by either Fraser Forster or Ben Foster.

"If I chose Fraser it won't be for any sentimental Celtic reasons, it will be because I think he deserves a start. But I must also add Ben Foster is another goalkeeper who I think deserves a start, they've both been doing fantastically well this week in training."
