  • Intro:

Spain and Germany have held training sessions on the eve of their international friendly match in Vigo, Spain.

    Script:

In front of passionate home crowd, Spain held one of their final training sessions on the eve of their blockbuster friendly with World Cup holders Germany.

They'll be looking to make amends for a disappointing year.

Their World Cup defence ended in humiliation and since returning from Brazil they've been beaten by France and Slovakia.

Vicente del Bosque's team is in transition - a win against Germany will provide some consolation.

    But it won't be easy.

It's been a vintage year for the Germans, who were a class above the rest in Brazil.

They continue to labour under a highly publicised World Cup 'hangover' however and they're under strength for this clash.

Low is missing a string of stars including Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marco Reus and Mezut Ozil.

    It's an intriguing tie.

They may not be playing for points, but both Spain and Germany will most certainly be playing for pride as they look to end the year on a high.
