  • Intro:

Feyenoord grabbed all three points on offer with a 2-0 win over PEC Zwolle on Saturday night (November 1) to help them reduce the gap on league leaders PSV.

While Memphis Depay gave 10-man PSV Eindhoven a 1-0 win over ADO Den Haag on Saturday (1st November) and kept them four points clear at the top of the Dutch Eredivisie.

    Script:

Feyenoord played hosts to PEC Zwolle in Rotterdam as they looked to stay in touch with the leaders in the Eredivisie.

While Zwolle themselves sat in fourth level on points with Feyenoord.

And it was all guns blazing from the start as both teams were fully committed early on.

Both Zwolle's Tomas Necid & Feyenoord's Jordy Clasie went in the referee's book.

The score remained goalless into the second half, and then Feyenoord found the opener.

Kazim Richard couldn't quite find his feet, so Sven van Beek made it all the more simple with this finish.

That appeared to fill the hosts with confidence as they opened Zwolle up again.

A clever flick by Kazim Richard, gave Jean-Paul Boetius a chance he couldn't miss.

    The game finishing 2-0 Feyenoord.

With Feyenoord & Ajax winning, PSV were looking to reopen their four point league in the Eredivisie.

ADO Den Haag were the visitors and they were so nearly behind in the 13th minute when Memphis Depay rattled the crossbar.

The game turned on its head just before the half hour when Jorrit Hendrix picked up a second yellow.

The 10-man PSV had the last laugh though as Memphis Depay notched his sixth goal in seven league starts for a 1-0 win.

PSV's ninth win of the season puts them on 27 points from eleven games, four clear of champions Ajax.
