SOUNDBITE (English) Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur coach:
(reacting to the suggestion that Tottenham's best chance of European competition next year will be through the Cup competitions this season)

"We need to prioritise all competitions. Sunday we need to get three points, get the win against Aston Villa and after that we have a very tough game in Greece against Asteras (Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League) and after that Stoke City at home. And for me the three games are very, very, very important and after 17th December we have the game, the Capital One (Cup) again against Newcastle (United). When they arrive, the games, our priority is always the match ahead."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur coach:
(on whether he is feeling any pressure after Tottenham have earned just five points from their last seven Premier League games)

"No, I don't feel the pressure. I'm not happy about the results in the Premier League. I know that we have to improve. I'm disappointed because our performances are not reflected in (our position in) the table."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur coach:
(on the performance in their last league game against Newcastle United)

"The way that we lost the game against Newcastle, I think it's like... because it's my responsibility, it's a shame, it's embarrassing, because it's difficult to explain, becasue how we lose it's difficult to accept in professional football. But, we need to improve. We need to toil, we need to realise and analyse our mistakes so that it doesn't happen again."
