Pune City finally managed to claim their first win in the Indian Super League, after beating FC Goa 2-0 on Sunday. Things looked desperate for Pune as the earlier results had dropped them into the bottom of the table.

But luck seemed to favour them that day, as Pune managed to take advantage of a failed corner clear. Kostas Katsouranis volleyed the ball into the net, opening the score just three minutes before half time.

The second half showed potential for Goa in the form of ex-Arsenal midfielder Andre Santos, but he was unfortunately denied twice by the woodwork.

Goa seemed to be having a bit of a mare that game, as a tragic defensive slip by Gregory allowed Trezeguet to regain posession and score his debut goal in the Indian Super League.

This defeat puts Goa to the very bottom of the table, and rockets Pune up to fifth.
