Intro:
Ten-man Club Brugge have held on for a 2-2 draw with Genk in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.
Script:
Meeting for the fiftieth time in the Belgian Pro League, Club Brugge and Genk were looking to close the gap on league leaders Anderlecht.
And it was Genk who took an early lead in spectacular fashion.
Danijel Milicevic's free kick was only partially cleared by Brugge's defence.
As the ball came back into the penalty area, the Swiss midfielder found some space and curled a first time shot past Matt Ryan in goal.
The home side settled and turned the game around in the space of eleven minutes.
On 34 minutes, Tom De Sutter got on the end of a cross to score his first goal of the season.
Then, just before the break, De Sutter was left unmarked again and turned in Felipe Gedoz's corner to make it 2-1.
Just after the interval however the game took another twist.
Brugge defender Oscar Duarte pulled back Genk midfielder Benito Raman and received a straight red card.
The decision was harsh, but it left Brugge down to ten men.
They held on to the lead until this howler from Australian keeper Ryan.
Rafinha's shot swerved on its way to goal, deceiving Ryan, who fumbled the save.
It meant both sides had to share the spoils.
The final result - 2-2.
