Script:
Melbourne Victory took on Melbourne City in the Australian A-League in front of nearly 45,000 fans at Etihad Stadium.
First blood went to City when Aaron Mooy's free-kick was met by a thumping Robbie Wielaert header.
Victory replied when Guilherme broke from deep and his shot was parried into the path of Archie Thompson.
City then took the lead for the second time in the match when Jason Hoffman capitalised on another error by keeper Nathan Coe.
In first half stoppage time Victory's Kosta Barbarouses tricked his way into the box and Besart Berisha tapped in the rebound to make it 2-2.
With Victory boss Kevin Muscat's words ringing in their ears, Berisha's step-over and shot deflected in off Wielaert.
The Albania striker completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot before Thompson cooly completed his brace and a 5-2 win.
Melbourne City are owned by Manchester City but their blue moon was brought back down to earth with a bump.
