"What we do know is that when we go to Spurs at the weekend we have got to be disciplined and we have got to offer a threat and that is something that Newcastle is very important to the way that we play. So for us it is about trying to attack the game and trying to get a win."

"Well I think it just shows that we are fighting on all fronts, from the chairman downwards. We've tried to emphasise to the players that it is very, very important to us that we get ourselves up the league and try and put a run of wins together. You are always looking for that special ingredient, you are always looking for that one player to give you a lift. We've had a couple of blows on the injury front but we've also had a couple of bonuses - Obertan's goal and performance was one of those that gives you a little lift and Papiss (Cisse) coming back. So we have to lean on those positives."

"You know that if you go to White Hart Lane, you've got to be prepared for a fast start, a boisterous crowd and good quality. Spurs teams always have fantastic quality as was shown last night in the Europa League. Got a player who can bring something new to the pitch that takes your breath away, so you have to be on your guard at all times."
