  • Intro:

Swansea City manager Garry Monk says Victor Moses should be punished for a blatant dive during his side's 2-1 loss to Stoke City.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: Garry Monk, Swansea City manager: (on the decision to award Stoke a penalty for a foul on Victor Moses)

"For me it's a disgusting decision, to be honest with you. How he (the referee) can't see that's a blatant dive is beyond me. And, for me, (Victor) Moses has cheated the referee into making that decision. He should be punished for that, which is clear cheating. It's one of the most blatant dives you'll ever see. You can go and watch a million games and now and you won't see more of a dive than that. He should be ashamed of himself, for diving like that."

SOUNDBITE: Garry Monk, Swansea City manager: (on referee Michael Oliver)

"You wouldn't expect that from a professional referee, so I can't judge him on that side of it. All I can see is, on the decision that he made, which, for me, everyone in the stadium was amazed that he gave it. I looked straight at their (Stoke's) bench, they were looking at me as if they couldn't believe that he'd just given it and he's the only guy in the whole stadium that thought that that was a clear-cut penalty."

SOUNDBITE: Garry Monk, Swansea City manager:

"For me, it's a disgrace. He should be punished heavily for that, but the referee gives the easy option, it's the easy option to give them the penalty, so we'll see. I have to deal with that, my players have to deal with that, we'll move on next week and hopefully we don't have a poor decision given against us."
