    Script:

A glorious setting for one of the world's most gruelling competitions.

South Korea's Incheon hosted the 2014 Tongyeong ITU Triathlon World Cup.

In the men's event, Henri Schoeman of South Africa, took the title for the first time after leading almost the entire race.

He began with an impressive swim posting the fastest time of the day.

A pack of five broke away early on the bike containing all three medallists, pulling further and further away from the rest of the field.

Schoeman and Zaferes led the way out on the run, but a big push in the final stages saw Kanute pull back for the silver.

Despite the American involvement, there was no mistaking the gold was bound for Schoeman who walked across the finish line with a massive lead.

SOUNDBITE (English) Henri Schoeman, men's winner:

"I was feeling great the whole ride so I had a feeling I would podium at least. On the last lap when I looked over and I had a large gap it's the best feeling in the world because you can just go out and win comfortably."

Emma Jackson successfully defended her 2013 crown in the women's race.

The Australian held on her own on the bike, before a final fight for the line secured her second Tongyeong World Cup title.
