  • Intro:

Japan beat South Korea 2-1 and China scored a late equaliser against Vietnam to snatch the final Group C quarter-final place.

    Script:

South Korea are out of the AFC Under 19 Championship after defeat to Japan in Myanmar.

The defending champions came into this final Group C match only needing a draw but Japan, who needed to win, took the lead through their captain Takumi Minamino.

The Cerazo Osaka striker showing great strength before that powerful finish.

Korea levelled just before half time through Kim Gun-hee's third goal of the tournament.

At that stage Japan were going out but 20 minutes after the break they scored the crucial goal that would take them through.
Captain Minamino leading by example once again.

Korea though had a lifeline because in the other Group C match China were losing 1-0 against Vietnam, Hoang Thanh Tung with the first goal there.

And it looked like that would be enough to see Korea through until the 88th minute when this happened...

Tang Shi with the priceless goal that sends China through to the quarter-finals.
