Intro:
Brazil and Argentina prepare for their friendly in Beijing, where China's capital has been swallowed up by a noxious haze of carcinogenic smog.
Script:
SOUNDBITE (Portuguese): Dunga, head coach of Brazil:
(on the conditions of the players)
"For Brazil as well as Argentina the difficulties are probably the same. We have to adjust to the time difference, the players came from Europe and
South America so they've all had long journeys after their matches in the league. Some of my players were still unable to fall asleep at night. On top of this we have the carcinogenic smog in Beijing. So all those factors will take more out of the players."
SOUNDBITE (Spanish): Gerardo Martino, head coach of Argentina:
(on the mindset when facing Brazil)
"Our players like Lionel Messi and Erik Lamela didn't participate in the full training session yesterday. Like the rest of the squad, they're all overcoming the time differences, long flight and fatigue. The match tomorrow is a friendly game. So we will try to play a good game if the players' physical conditions allow. Many of our players are on the international fixture break from the European leagues, so I won't make trouble for those big European clubs. I hope tomorrow we will have a good game and no one gets injured."
