Intro:
FIFA's marketing director Thierry Weil pleaded with the public and media to wait until the report into the World Cup 2018 and 2022 bidding process is published before accusing the governing body of a lack of transparency. Meanwhile, FIFA executive committee member Michel D'Hooghe said he and his colleagues were angry about having been given the £16,000 watch they've now been asked to hand back.

SOUNDBITE (English) Thierry Weil, FIFA marketing director:(on the political situation in Russia ahead of the 2018 World Cup)
"FIFA always says that we stay away from politics. One year ago there was no debate about Russia. There was no debate about the political situation. It has changed in the meanwhile and it's good we stay away from that because maybe in six months it's looking completely different again. Time is short. The Russian World Cup is tomorrow, for us four years is nothing. We have to build the stadiums. For sure it's something which it would be good to not have to be honest, but independent of that we have to continue to work."
