SOUNDBITE: (English) Ray Wilkins, Jordan head coach (on Jordan's chances at winning the 2015 AFC Asian Cup in Australia):

"We have as good a chance as anybody else. We've qualified, therefore we're in a tough group, but when you play international football everything is difficult. But we have as good a chance as everybody else, so hopefully, we finished in the quarter-finals for the last two championships, we want to go a couple of steps further. So we'll work extremely hard to try and achieve that goal."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ray Wilkins, Jordan head coach (on what he's looking for in his players):

"Well, we pulled in a number of players, probably close to 30 players, for the first games, just to have a look at the level and the standard of the players and we've been very, very pleasantly surprised. Technique is no problem at all, they have a fantastic technique, they have a great enthusiasm to train, so from that aspect we've been absolutely delighted. So, it'll be very important from our point of view, myself and Frank (Stapleton, assistant coach), to actually see the players play and to see the mentality and to see the way they cope with the situation of playing at international football. Because it's all very well training at international level, but we want to see them play at international level."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ray Wilkins, Jordan head coach (on whether he's had any problems with the players since taking charge):

"No, no I don't, I've found them really nice guys actually, there's been no hassle or problems whatsoever. They enjoy their training, and that's the important part, because they have to train with a smile on their face, because we have to enjoy our football and that's what it's all about. But I've had no problems whatsoever."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ray Wilkins, Jordan head coach (on having a Jordanian play in English football):

"This is one of my goals. I've come here on the invitation of Prince Ali to coach the side with Frank (Stapleton) and I have three goals. I want to improve the players. I want to do well in the Asia Cup. But I want a Jordanian player to play in England. Because the Israelis have done it, the Egyptians have done it, the Moroccans have done it, everybody has done it. Chinese, Japanese, but we haven't had a Jordanian player, so I want to see, if we have the opportunity, of getting a Jordanian into our football, yeah."
