Borussia Dortmund's poor start to the Bundesliga continued as they lost 1-0 at home to Hamburg.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored the winning goal in the 35th minute after an Adrian Ramos mistake. The shock loss sees Dortmund drop to 13th, 10 points behind leaders Bayern Munich after only seven games.

Another side scratching for consistency is Schalke. Jens Keller’s side were beaten by Hoffenheim a week after defeating BVB in the Revierderby.

Ex-Schalke forward Adam Szalai found the net after Firmino capitalised on a loose ball in midfield.

    Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s 83rd-minute effort wasn't enough to prevent a 2-1 loss.

Meanwhile Bayern moved four points clear at the top of the league after thrashing Hannover 4-0.

Xabi Alonso nearly scored a third career goal from inside his own half after netting twice for former club Liverpool.

Robert Lewandowski bagged a brace as the champions continue their two-month unbeaten run going into the international break.
