Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven hosted newly-promoted Excelsior on Sunday.

Adam Maher opened the scoring when his cross-come-shot somehow crept past Gino Coutinho.

That was the Holland winger's first goal in four games.

Excelsior were soon made to pay for another defensive mistake. Kevin van Diermem failed to make this tackle and Jürgen Locadia unselfishly set-up Luciano Narsingh for an easy tap-in.

In the second half, the visitors pushed up to try and reduce the deficit. But PSV hit them on the break and Locadia made it 3-0... although he didn't know much about it!

With half an hour left on the clock, PSV centre-back Jeffrey Bruma mis-controlled this pass and was then shown a straight red card as he tried to make amends.

But the Red and Whites held on to a 3-0 win which moves them three points clear at the top of the table.
