Premier League leaders Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk took on Illichivets Mariupol in Dnipropetrovsk due to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Dnipro are one point clear at the top of the table but they made a terrible start today when Douglas was shown a straight red card.

The centre-back will have breathed a sigh of relief when the resulting free-kick stayed out of the Dnipro net.

Then it was Illichivets' turn to enter the referee's book but Serhiy Hryn was shown a yellow card.

Just before the break, Yevhen Seleznyov headed in from a Serhiy Kravchenko corner to give Myron Markevych's men the lead.

In the second half, the sides were evened up when Hryn picked up his second yellow and was sent for an early bath.

Dnipro ran out 1-0 winners to create a four-point gap at the division's summit. Shakhtar Donetsk can reduce that lead later today.
