Holtby: Beating Dortmund 'brilliant'

  • Intro:

Reaction after Hamburg defeat Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Lewis Holtby, Hamburg midfielder (Q: How much confidence can you take from this match?)

"Lots of confidence I think, especially after such a great win, such a great performance here against a great team from Dortmund. It's brilliant for the morale, for everyone personally, I'm just happy for everyone at Hamburg, all the fans, everyone, I'm so happy."

SOUNDBITE: (German) Jurgen Klopp, Borussia Dortmund manager

"The problem we have in the moment is to play at a consistent level. One saw that in the first half. It is true, Hamburg were physically very strong. I would say Dortmund are strong too but less so today. We played way too little football, we did not use the open space on the wings, to put the opposing team in trouble. The goal happened as it happened and of course it vitalised the opposing team, no doubt about it. In the second half, Dortmund tried everything, which is why I say our recent poor results are not down to lack of quality or positive attitude but just about form. We knew that playing three days after a Champions League match would be difficult."
