"I think that we deserve to win before the game. We had a lot of clear chances to score and reviewing the whole game I think that we played the best game of this season. Completely in all sense, in possession, in chances to score, in the way we defend, the intensity we recover the ball and the way we work. Trying to score a goal that if we didn't do it before, it was because Aston Villa defended really well."

SOUNDBITE (English) Paul Lambert, Aston Villa manager:

"I think for 82 minutes in that game we were in it. Kieran (Richardson) had a really good chance. I know that (Sergio) Aguero hit the post at the other end and Kieran has gone up and had a chance at the other end, so that's how tight it is. When you play against these sorts of teams if you get a chance you've got to try and take it. One or two little chances but they're a right good side and in my opinion they'll be first or second in the league (at the end of the season)."
