(on Falcao and James Rodriguez moving to Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively)

"They have made some good steps. I believe that it is a privilege for Colombian football that Falcao has moved to Manchester United and that James, after the great display he put on at the World Cup, has moved to Real Madrid. He has moved to a winning teams with wonderful players. Real saw in James an important figure to bring in to the club, and it is fantastic for him, for Real Madrid and for the national team."

SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Jose Pekerman, Colombia Head Coach:

"We realise that we are starting a cycle that includes the Copa America, qualifiers and ends with the 2018 World Cup. Everything that happens in the competition, and the preparation of the team, is finally meet all the goals that we have set ourselves and eventually achieve our maximum objective. We should keep in mind that Colombia can compete, just as we did in Brazil in 2014. Now we want to focus our future on building from that plaform by growing further, maintaining an identity within the team and playing better ahead of the World Cup."
