Last season's runners up El Jaish are hoping to go one better this year but two defeats in their opening five matches meant there was already little room for error here.

They faced Sailiya, who have made a poor start to the season and it was about to get a lot worse.

In the 36th minute Khaled Al Zereiqi started the scoring.

10 minutes after the break Yaser Abou Baker made it 2-0 to El Jaish.

Seven minutes later Romarinho smashed home the third.

It was all getting a bit desperate for the away side, next they conceded a penalty and Mirghani El-Zein was shown a red card.

Mohammed Muntari cooly made it 4-0.

Salah Al Neel did well to pull one back for Sailiya.

But it finished 5-1 thanks to Abdel Gadir Ilyas.
