Al Ansar win Lebanese thriller

Saturday, October 04 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Prince Abedi scores a last minute penalty to give Al Ansar a 3-2 win against Al Akhaa Al Alhi in the Lebanese Premier League.

    Script:

Early days in the Lebanese Premier League season but the neutrals will be happy for more of this. The odd goal in five separated Al Ansar and Al Akhaa Al Ahli.

The scoring almost started inside the first 10 minutes when Hassan Mallah's audacious effort was tipped over.

Al Akhaa did take the lead just before half time through Juzial's sweet strike.

But there was more drama to come before the break, Al Ansar won a penalty for handball and Prince Abedi levelled for the home side.

They were in the lead less than five minutes into the second half through Matious.

In the dying minutes Al Akhaar looked like they had snatched a point when they won and scored this penalty.

But with just seconds to go there was yet another spot kick given, this time for Ansar, and Prince Abedi kept his cool to give the home side the most dramatic of wins.
