Ricardo Rodriguez scored two goals and set up another as Wolfsburg defeated 10-man Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 in the Bundesliga for its first win of the season on Sunday (21st September).

Nicklas Bendtner was looking for his first goal in the Bundesliga, while Wolfsburg were still looking for their first win of the season.

The game against Bayer Leverkusen started in perfect fashion when Giulio Donati was sent off for a last man foul on Junior Malanda.

Ricardo Rodriguez promptly converted the spot-kick to make it 1-0.

Despite being a man down, Leverkusen found an equaliser in the 29th minute through Josip Drmic.

Vieirinha restored Wolfsburg's lead before half-time scoring on what was his 50th Bundesliga appearance.

Rodriguez all but secured the home side's first win of the season with an absolutely spectacular finish striking Kevin de Bruyne's corner on the volley and finding the bottom corner.

Aaron Hunt then wrapped up the match with a good finish in the 81st minute.
