"It's a response we needed after Tuesday (Champions League defeat at Borussia Dortmund) yes. Aston Villa started quite well and we had one or two dangerous situations and after that we were in control and we scored three goals in three minutes and then in the second half it was a possession game and controlled game because they didn't come out too much but overall it's still a convincing win where we had Welbeck to score, Ozil to score and that, of course, is important as well for us."

" I think he had a very good performance today, Danny, because he kept the ball well as well. A good retention, which is important and he had a good all-round game for a central striker."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Aston Villa coach Paul Lambert
"To lose three goals is disappointing. Bit I can't sit here and say I am disappointed with the start - it was a tough game for us. It's a tough game when everybody is a 100 per cent fit but what happened this morning and during the warm-up and at half-time - the lads were running on empty."

"You take your medicine. We've been beaten once in the league in five games. There's no point in being down about it but you go again. We've had a run of games where it's really hard but, as I said before, ten points form five games is a good return."
