    South Korea thrash Syria 7-1 to advance to the AFC Under-16 Championship final.

    Script:

    South Korea faced Syria on Wednesday in the semi-finals of the AFC Under-16 Championship in Bangkok.

    Korea were offered an early chance by the Syrian defence, yet Jang Gyeol-hee, still had a lot to do with the effort.

    A minute into the second half, Syria's Ahmad Al-Khassi brought down Jang Gyeol-hee in the penalty area.

    And two goal hero in the quarter-final win over Japan, Lee Seung-woo, converted. 2-0 South Korea.

    The Koreans would add a further four goals before Syria salvaged something in the 61st minute. Anas Alaji converting the free kick here.

    But a minute later Korean Lee Sang-min headed home to make it 7-1 & send Korea into Saturday's final where they'll either Australia or near neighbours North Korea.
