Markevych: It would be better to play at home

Thursday, September 18 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Unsettled Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk prepared on Wednesday (17 September) to take on Inter Milan in their opening Group F game in the Europa League.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Myron Markevych, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk coach:

"Of course it's better to play at home. We understand this very well and the stadium could be completely full. Our stadium is specialised for football, so it's better to play on its pitch, but we can't do anything and have to take into account UEFA recommendations."

SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Artem Fedetsky, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk defender:

"European cups are special tournaments and of course teams participating in them have very high level. The first game with Inter is very important because they a very good team. Unfortunately we'll not play in front of our fans. If we can play in Dnipropetrovsk the stadium would be full and it's safe enough. This is the only drawback. But the team coming to this match is absolutely ready."
