Intro:
Feyenoord missed a penalty in an entertaining draw with FC Twente.
Script:
FC Twente and Feyenoord held a minute's silence before their Eredivisie match for former club official Pedro Salazar-Hewitt who recently passed away.
The moving tribute wasn't enough to inspire either side to find the back of the net in the Dutch Eredivisie clash.
Visitors Feyenoord dominated the first half, but failed to convert any of their chances.
Jean-Paul Boetius was causing all the problems for Twente.
Just after the half hour mark he almost put his side ahead after beating two defenders on the left wing and producing a dangerous cross that defender Darryl Lachman unwittingly turned on to his own crossbar.
Less than a minute later, Boetius was at it again.
Brought down tricking his way into the Twente box by Cuco Martina, the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot.
But Twente's blushes were spared by goalkeeper Nick Marsman, who produced a fine save to keep the game scoreless.
The home-side almost grabbed the lead in the second half when Kamohelo Mokotjo hit a firm drive from almost 30 yards out.
Erwin Mulder in the Feyenoord goal, tipped the shot over the crossbar to keep the scores level.
That was as close as either side got, the game ending in a scoreless draw.
