Shakhtar Donetsk continued their unbeaten run in Ukraine's Premier League with a 3-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Illichivets on Friday.

The defending champions dominated from the off, Darijo Srna almost netted in the 24th minute with this freekick from the edge of the area.

They should have broken the deadlock in the 31st minute but Oleksandr Gladkiy could only header straight at goalkeeper Oleksandr Churilov.

A minute later though and Shakhtar made the breakthrough, Gladkiy making amends after being put through by Brazilian midfielder Taison.

Despite more determined resistance from Illichivets in the second half, Shakhtar continued to outclass their opponents.

And 10 minutes after the restart, Alex Teixeira made it 2-0 - again with the help of fellow Brazilian Taison.

Taison added one of his own to make sure of victory in the 75th minute, the Illichivets defence now in disarray.

A red card for Yaroslav Rakitskiy reduced Shakhtar to ten men for the final minutes of the game but they held strong to claim all three points and make it 5 wins in 5.
