SOUNDBITE Mathieu Reeb, Secretary General of CAS

"In the case Legia Warsaw, Celtic FC and the UEFA, the CAS has rendered its decision today. It has denied the request for urgent provisional measures requested by the Polish club. Accordingly, Celtic will be able to participate in the European Champions League, and will play against Maribor next Wednesday.

"There is still an appeal to be examined by CAS on the merits - Legia has requested a financial compensation from UEFA, and this will be decided within the next weeks, so its too early now to say anything about it."

"Legia Warsaw had requested an urgent provisional measure in order to limit the damage which could happen if they are not entitled to participate in the Champions League. They still have a claim against the UEFA, on the merits, so it means the may still request a financial compensation at a later stage."

"If in the end the appeal is granted, if it's ruled in favour of the Polish club, it could mean that perhaps the CAS could order the UEFA to grant a financial compensation to Legia because probably it will be too late for Legia to be reinstated in the competition."
