Juventus thrash a poor Singapore League select side 5-0 at the Stadium of Singapore in a pre-season friendly.

    Script:

With two weeks to go before the start of the Serie A season, Juventus continued their pre-season with a match against a Singapore League XI on Saturday.

Despite the relatively weak opposition, Massimiliano Allegri named a strong side with Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Fernando Llorente all starting.

Pirlo put his name on the scoresheet first when his low free-kick fooled the entire Singapore side.

Juve then won a penalty when Roberto Pereyra was hauled down by Shakir Hamzah. The defending was almost as poor as the pitch.

Pirlo then scored from the spot to bag his doppietta.

At the start of the second half Pogba beat two men on the corner of the box before cutting inside on his right foot and curling a low finish beyond Sunny.

Attacking midfielder Sebastian Giovinco added a fourth after a terrific tiro al volo from Pirlo's assist.

Kwadwo Asamoah then came off the bench to cap an embarrassing 5-0 thrashing.
