Assistant manager Keith Millen will be in temporary charge for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

Pulis held urgent talks with Palace co-chairman Steve Parish to discuss issues relating to transfers but a resolution could not be found.

Pulis arrived at Palace in November 2013, and inspired his team to avoid relegation with a spectacular run of results.

Earlier on Thursday, Palace announced the signing of Liverpool defender Martin Kelly on a three-year contract.

Kelly said he was looking forward to working with Pulis but now he won't get the chance with Pulis looking for a new club and Palace eager to find a new manager sooner rather than later.
