  • Intro:

Newly promoted Mouscron-Peruwelz thrash Standard Liege 5-2 in the Belgian Pro League.

    Script:

After one win, a defeat and a draw it was hard to know what to expect from Mouscron Peruwelz in their fourth ever Belgian Pro League game but no one would have predicted this.

They thrashed 10-time champions Standard Liege and they had to come from behind. Igor De Camargo opened the scoring with this stunning strike.

A not so routine goal starting what they would've thought would be a routine win.

Mouscron had other ideas and seven minutes later they were level through Abdoulay Diaby.

And then they went in front, through Anice Badri.

Tony Watt was starting for Liege the first time since joining from Celtic his misplaced pass started the move that saw them go 3-1 down, Diaby with his second.

Watt, famous for a goal against Barcelona in the Champions League redeemed himself in style to make it 3-2.

You got the feeling the next goal would be crucial and it came for the home side, Benjamin Delacourt made the most of a free header.

And a memorable win was put beyond doubt in the final minutes when Badri got his second and Mouscron's fifth. Few will want to come here this season.
