SOUNDBITE: (English) Keith Millen, Crystal Palace caretaker manager: "We are shocked, we knew the frustrations, if you like, of the club, we've maybe not brought in as many players that we wanted at the moment. But as far as training was concerned and around the players we had no inclin that this might happen. So to get the phonecall last night and to come in this morning was a big shock to us all.
The relationship I saw when the chairman came on trips with us and the manager was fine. We'd sit and have a drink with him, we'd discuss football. The chairman has got his opinion on football and they were fine. The transfer dealings, we've been frustrated as a club because we've not brought in as many players as we would like to but we've got two to three weeks to bring players in. But when you look at (Brede) Hangeland, Fraser Campbell and Martin Kelly coming in, they're three great signings for the club so we're pleased in that respect, so the relationship when I was with them was fine.
"This has happened now really probably three times now, when Dougie (Freedman) left and Ian (Holloway) and now Tony (Pulis), so they (the players) are asking why. It's important to reassure them that they've done nothing wrong and I said that to them, Tony loved working with the group and they are a great group to work with so there's no worries there. Now all of a sudden they'll be wondering who's going to come in, what direction we're going to go in but we've got to try and stay focused on what we've done all pre-season and what we done well last year."
