West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce on Thursday (14th August) revealed he has targeted a top-10 finish in the English Premier League this season.

"I'll take 10th or better. I think that we have got to aim for at least that position. I think that if we score a few more goals than last season, that's achievable for us. If we can do the same as last season from a defensive point of view on 14 clean sheets then 50 goals will be enough for us. We scored 40 goals last year, we scored 46 the year before, so if we can hit the 50-goal mark, then that would be enough to take us into the top 10 or better."
