Thousands of Germany fans celebrated in Berlin on Sunday night after watching their country defeat Argentina 1-0 in extra time to win the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

On Berlin's Kurfuerstendamm boulevard, fans drove in a motorcade and were dancing on the street after Mario Goetze scored the goal that ended Germany's 24-year wait for another World Cup title.

Goetze's superbly taken goal not only awarded Germany the title of world champions, it also means they are the first European country to win a World Cup in the America's.

And it's safe to say, fans in Berlin were very happy with the result.
