Thousands of Brazilian supporters gathered at the Fan Fest in Salvador on Friday to watch Brazil beat Colombia in their World Cup quarter-final clash.

Goals from Thiago Silva and David Luiz saw Brazil through and the fans reacted to an emotional night:

SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Vox pop Javier Paulo, Brazilian fan

"We need to play well against Germany so we can win the gamemore easily, because we, the fans, can't suffer anymore. It's difficult to explain but is a very strong emotion that we feel."

SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Vox pop Alan Lima, Brazilian fan

"It will be Brazil and Netherlands in the final game, it will be our revenge. Brazil will defeat Netherlands in the Maracana!"

Despite the result it wasn't all good news for Brazil, as forward Neymar has been ruled out of the tournament with a back injury, whilst captain Silva is suspended for the next game.

And that game will be the semi-final against Germany on Tuesday, who overcame France 1-0 in their quarter-final match.
