"I feel that (Louis) van Gaal (incoming Man United head coach) coming in, it is the right choice. I feel someone with the vast experience that he has, will bring to the football club, wherever he's been and wherever he's gone he's been very successful. I expect that to follow and I think he would expect that as well when he comes into Manchester United football club. Whether he's there for the long term, that's another question mark. But undoubtedly he's been very successful wherever he's been and I'm sure that he will want that to continue, being the manager of Manchester United football club."

"Yes, we know that there are six or seven players they are trying to buy and I would say the aggressiveness of Manchester United, splashing the cash, and they need to. Last season was a bit of a disaster at Manchester United from that point of view. I don't think they can afford to be left behind like they have (been), not qualifying for the Champions League, not even being on the front competing for the Premier League. So that's a huge blow, and to be able to do that - compete with the likes of (Manchester) City and Liverpool and Chelsea, you see they are spending a lot of money as well. They need to splash the cash and certainly Manchester United are trying to do that this time."
