SOUNDBITE: (French) Hugo Lloris, France captain and goalkeeper:

"We're not afraid of anything. We are fully aware of the fact that in one match just about anything is possible and it is always possible that this match could be our last but there is no fear. It's a sheer joy to play Germany in a quarter-final."

SOUNDBITE: (French) Didier Deschamps, France coach:

"Nobody is afraid, we're here, it's a quarter-final match. The German team is very strong with a lot of experience, particularly in quarter-finals. But I don't that anybody is afraid. As Hugo (Lloris) said, it's a pleasure and we are prepared for the game."

SOUNDBITE: (French) Didier Deschamps, France coach

(on Germany having beaten France in their two most recent World Cup meetings in 1982 and 1986):

"There is no pressure on my players. I have nothing to tell them. We are just thrilled we're playing a quarter-final but that's all. History is what it is and tomorrow we will write a new chapter maybe. We will try to make as pleasant as possible."
