SOUNDBITE: (English) Jurgen Klinsmann, USA manager (on match referee Djamel Haimoudi of Algeria):

"Is it a good feeling? No, because he is coming from the same group, as Belgium and Algeria - which deserves a huge compliment to go through into the next round. He's able to speak French with their (Belgium) players on the field, not with us, and it's a country that we beat in the last second in the last World Cup. So sometimes I no understand FIFA. It's difficult obviously to choose the right referees for the right games and it's always been kind of tricky for FIFA, but.... it is what it is. We give it, absolutely, the benefit of the doubt, we respect the decision.

"We knew that we were going to face these kind of teams and I think so far we've done a good job. We have to prove that again but yes, that's why they are also first in their group, that's why they went through their group with three wins and that's why we respect them. But I think we have a good plan to go into the game to play them."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Clint Dempsey, USA captain:

"We know that we're not satisfied with just getting through the round of 16, that we want to do more. It's a difficult challenge playing against Belgium. They have a lot of quality players, but at the same time I think if we played at the best of our ability we can get the right result."
