SOUNDBITE (German) Hans-Dieter Flick, Germany assistant coach:

(On Germany's 2-2 draw with Ghana in Fortaleza on Saturday and USA v Portugal, which also finished 2-2)

"We had the will to win the match. The result wasn't what we had imagined - also the final result wasn't. But the team really fought well and fought their way back into the match and that is very, very positive. And they have made the experience that when things are not going your way, you have to fight and that's what they did. So we can be happy with the game. Our situation is good, also after the match yesterday between USA and Portugal."

SOUNDBITE (German) Mats Hummels, Germany defender:

"The fact that we took a high risk and tried to get those three points is a good sign I think. Clearly there were mistakes that then made the game quite wild in the last 10, 15 minutes. But that can happen in football and it is quite nice for the neutral spectators. It makes the game more spectacular. But as a team you would always prefer to control things a bit more.

"I think playing for a draw is absolutely not our thing. But if the score is 1-1 in the 91st minute, I won't start dribbling against four (opposition) players. I can promise that. Maybe against two, but not against four."
